The Career-related Programme

The International Baccalaureate’s Career-related Programme is an innovative educational framework for students, aged 16-19, who want to pursue industry-related learning combined with a rigorous academic study programme while gaining lifelong skills.

Modern life places complex demands on graduates entering further and higher education or employment. An integral part of the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme is enabling students to become self-confident, skilled and career-ready learners.

Through the programme, students will:

Develop a range of broad work-related competencies and deepen their understanding in specific areas of knowledge through their Diploma Programme courses.

Develop flexible strategies for knowledge acquisition and enhancement in varied contexts.

Prepare for effective participation in the changing world of work.

Foster attitudes and habits of mind that allow them to become lifelong learners willing to consider new perspectives.

Become involved in learning that develops their capacity and willingness to make a positive difference.

The courses will be delivered online via Pamoja Education, which is the International Baccalaureate’s exclusive partner for Diploma Courses.
  • Career-related studies – this will be delivered in partnership with Swiss Education Group (SEG); students will be awarded a professional Certificate in Hotel Management. Students will also receive “advanced standing” of up to one year on any SEG bachelor's degree, upon successful completion of the Career-related Programme. However, they are also free to pursue alternative further or higher education pathways with other providers or enter directly into employment.
